During my time at Easton Mountain Products I launched a new design of snowshoes. We won the 2009 Outside Magazine Gear of the Year. This snowshoe was the first to have an end of life plan developed. The snowshoe was 80% recyclable and the rest could be sent back to Easton for proper disposal. We also offered a carbon offset for the production of the product by purchasing wind power and paid for the equivalent of one months power usage for the consumer.
